Parallax Web Services Opens Pre-Seed SAFE Round
The founder-funded company is building an integrated ecosystem for AI-assisted software development across orchestration, infrastructure, and collaboration.
NEW YORK, August 5, 2026 — Parallax Web Services, Inc. today announced that it is opening conversations with angel investors and strategic operators for a pre-seed round using a SAFE, or Simple Agreement for Future Equity.
The early-stage company is building an integrated ecosystem of AI products designed to help developers and businesses build software faster, more reliably, and at greater scale.
Parallax has funded product development to date through consulting revenue and has not raised outside capital. Its product business is currently pre-revenue. The round is intended to accelerate work already underway rather than finance the company’s starting point.
“I wanted to build before I raised,” said Sean Talbot, founder of Parallax Web Services. “Consulting revenue gave me a way to fund product development and work through how the pieces should fit together. We are early, and the product business is pre-revenue, but the strategy and the work are already in motion. This round is about increasing the pace.”
One Ecosystem, Three Layers
Parallax is developing three connected products that address orchestration, infrastructure, and collaboration in AI-assisted software development.
- Slipstream is focused on AI-assisted development orchestration, including agent workflows, code review, project coordination, and an AI command center.
- Positronic is focused on infrastructure including browser automation, scraping, AI hosting, visualization, background workers, and APIs.
- Plexus is being designed as a network layer connecting developers, founders, reviewers, agencies, and other collaborators.
The products are not intended to operate as three unrelated businesses. Slipstream organizes work, Positronic supplies supporting infrastructure, and Plexus connects the people and expertise around it. Shared capabilities and context are intended to make each part of the ecosystem more useful.
“Slipstream, Positronic, and Plexus are not three unrelated startups,” Talbot said. “They are three layers of one system: orchestration, infrastructure, and network. Each is being designed to reinforce the others.”
Building Around the Work Beyond Code Generation
AI coding tools have made producing code faster, but the broader development workflow remains fragmented. Teams still need to coordinate agents and people, review outputs, operate reliable infrastructure, and carry context from one stage of work to the next.
Parallax is being built around the view that the systems surrounding AI-generated work will become increasingly important as adoption grows. The company sees an opportunity for an integrated layer that connects development workflows, supporting infrastructure, and human collaboration.
Capital to Accelerate Work Underway
Parallax intends to use capital from the round to accelerate four areas:
- Product development
- Distribution
- Infrastructure
- Hiring
The company is opening conversations with angels and strategic operators who understand the opportunities and practical challenges surrounding AI-assisted development, developer tooling, infrastructure, and software platforms.
